For decades Baltimore & Ohio passenger trains would slow down at Christmastime so passengers could see the B&O Holly Tree. In the intervening years, the holly tree has succumbed to time. Today, Cecil County (which now owns the land) decorates two of the holly tree's descendents and strings lights to the height of the original holly tree. A CSX westbound train makes its way past the display a few days after Christmas.
