The Philadelphia Chapter NRHS operated a fan trip that was the "Farewell to the Pioneer III" commuter cars (aka Silverliner I cars). Six Pioneer III cars came to the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1957 and 1958. Pioneer III 246 approaches the station at Cynwyd.
