Despite being a corporate entity since 1980, CSX's various railroads were finally combined into one system in August 1987. Thus, just a few months later, a motive power consist of all Chessie System locomotives was still possible. A westbound CSX freight heads along Wills Creek as it begins the ascent of Sand Patch Grade.
